Subaru BRZ GT300 finish 9th at Fuji Speedway, 2nd round of Super GT

R&D SPORT's SUBARU BRZ GT300 driven by Tetsuya Yamano and Kouta Sasaki started from 12th on the grid after the qualifying and finished 9th in the final race. After the rain of previous days, Fuji Speedway was overcast on the final morning. The free practice session began at 8:30am on a track that was not still completely dry, and so, the R&D SPORT team could not check the SUBARU BRZ's settings with slick tyres on a dry surface before the final race.

First Subaru BRZ victory by Tetsuya Yamano

Subaru BRZ has achieved its first victory! On 22nd of April 2012 the second round of All Japan Gymkhana Championship was held. Tetsuya Yamano couldnt join the first round because the Subaru BRZ was not oficially released yet. So for the past few months Mr. Yamano has spent a lot of time testing various suspension settings, mixing many different rate parts developing his Comdrive Exmotion "Athlete's Orange" coilovers, as well as testing different LSD setups and Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires. The effort has paid off as Tetsuya Yamano won the challenge in Takata TS circuit in Hiroshima where the #2 round of Gymkhana Championship was held. 20 points gives him a 3rd to 4th place in overall ranking in the PN2 class.
