See you in Japan!

Well here I am, in Copenhagen airport, waiting for my 10.5 hour flight. To Tokyo! I finally start to believe it's real! Yes, I'm finally going to spend my free time in my long awaited dream location - Japan. Not just that, I will be joining events where Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZs participate - the cars that I have been obsessed for last years since the first test mules hit the roads!

The builders and tuners have taken the all new mild mannered Toyota 86 and converted it from a street tuned car to a full blown drift cars like the V8-powered 86 from Max Orido, HKS’s 86 and the 600hp GReddy/Scion Racing FR-S. Now it's time for rally car.

Report: Super GT in Okayama

The race weekend is over. It was a good start of season for R&D Sport team with Subaru BRZ GT300. Back in 17-18 March in Okayama the drivers Tetsuya Yamano and Kouta Sasaki did 176 laps testing in two days, setting the 8th best time overall which is quite qood for a brand new car. This weekend the team started well by qualifying 8th for the race day setting a laptime of 1'30.089

At first when it was announced that Subaru and Toyoya were to collaborate on a rear wheel drive sports car I honestly didn’t pay attention nor did I want to be bothered by the thought. For years it seemed cars from the Far East start as an awesome idea and by the time it gets to our shores it’s very watered down and becomes apparent that someone in Japan had a very different idea of what Americans would want.
