Problems with direct injection

We know that the boxer will be equipped with normal & direct injection, probably 8 injectors total.

Lets gather some facts/problems about DI, since we`re going to get our hands dirty.

I dont know anything about DI, but here`s what I found - it builds up carbon on valves pretty fast:

Dear god!! That is some serious sh.. down there :D

Restoring hachiroku, always in progress.

Yep, it seems that the fuel and oil mixture attracts dust more than anything.

This means, the air filter should be very efficient (restrictive), no cheap pod filters.
And oil filtration with catch can should be taken to the highest level. Could be solved by creating a very efficient catch can (full with steel foam). Or routing the PCV to exhaust system like dragsters do, but that`s the expensive option.
